Dear Visitor,

Welcome to SouthEast Florida Behavioral Health Network's (SEFBHN) website. We are a community based agency with a dedicated Board of Directors. We are contracted with Florida's Department of Children and Families to administer the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Service System. As the "managing entity" for the counties in Southeast Florida of Indian River, Martin, Okeechobee, Palm Beach, and St. Lucie we are delighted to have you visit and explore our site. We hope to offer a wealth of valuable resources related to mental health and substance abuse services that are available to meet the needs of our consumers, family members and other stakeholders.

Ultimately, our vision is a seamless, accessible, recovery-oriented system of behavioral health care driven by consumers, providers, and other stakeholders, in which innovation and collaboration are the norm and diversified financial resources comfortably support an array of prevention and treatment practices leading to excellent outcomes for individuals served, providers, and the community.

We strive to accomplish this vision by developing, supporting, and managing an integrated network of behavioral health services to promote the emotional and mental well-being and drug-free living of children and adults in Indian River, Martin, Okeechobee, Palm Beach, and St. Lucie Counties, Florida.

Our network of service providers includes over forty private and non-profit service agencies that offer a wide variety of science and evidenced based mental health and substance abuse services. This network of providers work collaboratively and in partnership with SEFBHN to create a system of care that is designed to encourage and facilitate the journey through recovery for each individual served.

We realize we provide more than behavioral health care services. We provide hope. Hope for a normal life; hope for recovery; and hope for tomorrow. But sometimes hope is hard to come by. It's up to us to inspire hope and give it cause. We do that by painting pictures of independence, acknowledging personal strengths, being advocating voices, or sometimes just sharing laughs. To help people achieve recovery and self-sufficiency, we build on their personal strengths and resources. Our goal is to help them be contributing members of their communities, and to have the ability to pursue relationships, jobs, and recreation, all with independence and self-direction.

Through this website we hope to demonstrate our commitment to working in the "sunshine", answer any questions or inquiries about our system of care, provide training and technical assistance, enhance accessibility to our provider network and SEFBHN staff and leadership and meet all of our stakeholders needs for timely and accurate information.

Thank you again for visiting and we look forward to hearing from you!

Warmest Regards,

Ann M. Berner, CEO/President
